A good hypothesis has metrics built right into it. That means that, when you focus on proving or disproving a hypothesis, rather than a goal, you’re more likely to track what matters.
Entrepreneurs often focus on hustling toward a goal… instead of paying attention to what’s really going on and that means they lose out on data that would help them through uncertainty with more ease and grace.
So I do think there are true operational differences between working toward a goal and building & testing a hypothesis.
