Dear Uncreative Parenting,

Thanks to the Twitterverse, I saw the absolutely terrible advice you received about finding a bit of time for creative fulfillment amidst parenting. I’m sure it was painful to read.

First, you are in a tough situation.

I hope that you give yourself credit for everything you accomplish on your own and for the loving home you create for your child.

I have some experience and perspective to offer on the advice you received. While I may not have answers to your question, I hope to provide some perspective. The response you received was hurtful— but I doubt it’s the last time you’ll receive an opinion like that about your situation.

I just hope you don’t take it to heart. In case you’re tempted to, allow me to go line by line.
