A couple of years ago, I drastically changed my business model to favor accessibility over sky-high prices. I actually had an old client confront me about why I was charging so little and offer to coach me (not free of charge, natch) to reclaim my value.

I really appreciate your point about not looking down on people who won’t pay what we want or need to charge. The same goes for looking down on “freebie seekers” or “tire kickers.” That kind of language is really gross and certainly doesn’t serve us when it comes to thinking compassionately about the people we serve, regardless of their ability to pay.
